Aaron Chen is an educational advisor based in the Greater Boston Area, New England, dedicated to helping students and families navigate U.S. college admissions with intention and care.

I help students navigate admissions through thoughtful academic planning, major exploration, and authentic application storytelling. With a background spanning academic counseling and student mentorship, I bring a calm, strategic presence to what can often feel like an overwhelming process.

I work with students who are curious, driven, and ready to tell their stories authentically — whether that means exploring new academic interests, building research experience, or shaping a compelling personal narrative.

Over the past seven years, I have supported more than 300 students through academic planning, college list development, essay coaching, and admissions strategy. My clients have gained admission to a wide range of institutions, from selective liberal arts colleges to top research universities.

My work extends beyond application season. I partner with families for long-term advising relationships that span multiple years of high school, ensuring students build meaningful academic profiles over time.

Based in New England and available worldwide via Zoom, I bring both depth of experience and a thoughtful, student-centered approach to every engagement.

I hold an M.A. in Higher Education, Boston College, which grounds my practice in the theory and practice of student development, college access, and higher education administration.

This academic foundation, combined with years of hands-on advising experience, allows me to bring both rigor and empathy to my work with students and families.
